Take the "50 Church Challenge" 50 Church Challenge videoOur "50 Church Challenge" fundraising campaign is off to a good start! Throughout the summer we have hosted 7 luncheons, mailed our over 400 DVD’s, and made hundreds of telephone calls as we try to raise the funds to complete our new 50 unit Copass Retreat Center. The building is presently “dried in” which means that it has a roof and is completely protected from the weather. We will move forward as we receive pledges and donations from churches and individuals. We have raised $750,000.00 of resources thus far which has brought us to this stage of construction. Remember we are building as we raise funds. We are not taking out a loan for this project – the only borrowed money will be against pledges. People are asking when the completion date will be – we do not have a date yet as we are waiting on the Lord for His provision. The 50 Church Challenge began in an effort to bring our churches “onboard” and come alongside Camp Copass with a 3 year commitment. Some churches have already shown their desire to partner with Camp Copass in this project by putting it in their budgets this coming November and December. If we can get 50 churches to give $25,000.00 over the next 3 years ~ which broken down is $8,333.33 a year or $694.44 per month. This would provide $1,250,000.00. Realistically some churches are not able to do this much but if every church can give what they are able we can get this project completed for the Glory of God. It is our desire to have 100 churches involved in this challenge as we support our churches in Christian Fellowship, Discipleship, and Evangelism. For the next 40 years this building will be used tremendously in the North Texas area for the Lord’s work. God has told us to “Wait” and has He provides we will move forward. We are asking you to do this…first of all pray that we will continue to follow God fully…second of all we encourage you to participate – come to the camp, take a tour, plan a retreat…third, we need you to pledge and be involved in the 50 Church Challenge – no matter how small or large your gift might be.
